David R. Railey began his love affair with astrology in 1970. Following 5 years of study he passed the qualifying examination required by the City of Atlanta for the professional practice of astrology and obtained his professional Astrologer’s license in Jan. 1976. Along with maintaining a full time practice, David served for 4 years on the Atlanta Board of Astrology Examiners, and as President and treasurer of the Metro Atlanta Astrological Society. A faculty member at the United Astrology Congress (UAC) in 1998, he has at various times been a member of UAC, American Federation of Astrologers Network, American Federation of Astrologers, and the National Council for Geocosmic Research. From 1995 to 2000 Railey lived and practiced in Los Angeles, but returned to reside and practice in Atlanta in 2000.

AkSA is a new online school for professional astrology, founded September 25, 2001 as a part of Akashic University. AkSA offers a three-month “intensive” designed to develop astrologers of professional caliber. Graduates must successfully complete the entire three-month program to receive a certificate from AkSA and obtain a professional listing on PsychicVista.com. The curriculum emphasizes the “interaction with the client” and provides a head start for anyone seriously interested in establishing an astrological practice.

The AkSA program was created by astrologer David R. Railey and is based upon his 31 years of study and 26 years of full time astrological practice. A long time proponent of standards and ethics in the field of astrology, Railey sees AkSA as an opportunity to provide the beginning astrologer with the basic tools and knowledge needed to succeed on a professional level. This course is the end result of techniques refined by day-in-day-out interactions with clients. The unique concepts taught in this structured three-month format are “reality tested and not simply theory.”
