AS101 While our current scientific paradigm does not include the study of shamanism, this fascinating vocation is commonly accepted in many cultures of the world. There is a need in our modern society to reconnect with this valuable ability, that can enrich both ourselves and our communities. This course will introduce the student to the fundamentals of shamanism, some of the researchers, historical text, modern examples, and exercises that give the student an introduction to the field of shamanism. Hopefully, this course will encourage students to continue their studies under the tutelage of a practicing shaman. You are encouraged to keep a journal to record your experiences and thoughts as you progress through the course.
